Job Summary
As a Fabricator at Zephyr Equipment, you will be responsible for cutting, forming, welding, and assembling sheet metal and structural components for custom equipment builds. You’ll work from engineered drawings and shop instructions to build high-quality equipment that meets both performance and aesthetic standards.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate parts from carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using saws, shears, brakes, and plasma tables
- MIG and TIG weld components to specification
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Perform accurate layout and fit-up using measuring tools and templates
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and other shop equipment safely
- Grind, Finish, and prep parts for paint or assembly
- Work closely with engineering and assembly teams to resolve issues in design or fit up
- Maintain, clean, organize a safe working environment
- Assist final assembly and shop testing as needed
Must Have
- 2+ years of fabrication experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment
- Proficient in TIG welding (MIG a plus)
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Ability to work independently and follow production schedules
- Comfortable working with a variety of materials and thicknesses
- Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies

- Forklift certification
- Use of CNC Plasma, Milling Equipment
- Press Brake Operation
- Roll Forming
