Job Summary

As a Field Service Technician, you will be the front line of support for our customers—responsible for the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Zephyr systems in the field. This is a travel-intensive role, and candidates must be willing and able to travel frequently to customer sites across the U.S.

You’ll work closely with customers, engineers, and the manufacturing team to ensure every system performs as promised, while representing Zephyr with professionalism, technical expertise, and a commitment to service.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission pneumatic conveying, dust collection, and bedding handling systems at customer facilities
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on installed systems
  • Conduct System Audits & Preventative Maintenance
  • Train customers on system operation and basic maintenance
  • Maintain detailed service reports & documentation
  • Communicate feedback to engineering and production teams for continuous improvement
  • Represent Zephyr professionally while on customer sites
  • Support shop assembly and testing as needed when not in the field

Must Have 

  • 2+ years of experience in field service, industrial maintenance, or equipment installation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic systems and components
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities 
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%) 
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work independently

Nice to have

  • Experience with dust collection or pneumatic conveying systems
  • Familiarity with explosion protection (NFPA standards)
  • Basic electrical knowledge or PLC experience
  • OSHA 10/30, forklift certification, or lockout/tagout training
  • Experience using ERP or job-tracking software
